Met Gala 2018 | Favorite Moments

The Met Gala, otherwise known as the most fashionable night of the year took place last night. We watched our favorite celebrities and designers celebrate Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute gala newest exhibition, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” curated by Andrew Bolton. The inner Miranda Priestley in us couldn’t help but sit back at home with a bag of Skinny Pop Popcorn critiquing the Catholic inspired looks. From Pope Rihanna, a golden Kim KardashianJlo’s tan leg pop, SJP’s headpiece, and Katy Perry’s decision-making skills. This year did not disappoint and we are here for all of it.

Rihanna blessed the night with a beautiful bedazzled pope-inspired hat and gown designed by Maison Margiela. She truly embraced the theme and shut it down. The Kardashian / Jenner squad showed out. Kim Kardashian showed off her hour glass figure wearing a gold sequin gown designed by Versace, while little sisters Kendall and Kylie went with more simple, black and white looks. Cardi B stunned while attending her first Met Gala with Jeremy Scott as her date, showcasing her gorgeous Moschino gown and baby bump. Jennifer Lopez made jaws drop, looking absolutely incredible wearing a shorter bob and a custom Balmain gown with Arod by her side. Can you name a better-looking couple? Meanwhile, Katy Perry is never one to shy away from making a bold fashion statement. The ‘Firework’ singer flew in the red-carpet with a pair of enormous wings to compliment her gold Versace mini-dress and yet again the internet has proved to have zero chill. Closing out this year’s the red-carpet, Blake Lively’s name was a worldwide trending topic, as she made a high-fashion statement with her Versace designed ruby red skirt and train, with gold floral details.

Overall, it was great night for fashion, and this year’s Heavenly Bodies theme, gave us so much life. Check out our favorite fashionable moments from last night’s Met Gala below, till next year!
